Registrations for the IJPL 2016, India’s biggest cricketing tournament for boys aged 14 to 18 has started! Gautam Gambhir, a leading Indian cricketer is the brand ambassador of this tournament. This cricket league for juniors is a great opportunity for enthusiastic young boys who are passionate about cricket and need a head-start in a cricketing career. This cricket talent is being organized by Grace Sports and Gautam Gambhir in association with Fitness World. Interested participants can register their entry online. Players will be selected on the basis of their performance in 3-day selection camps, which will be organized across 22 cities in India. There will be a total of 16 teams and around 240 players will get a chance to represent their favorite city/state. Selected players will be mentored by some of the seasoned cricketers such as – Jonty Rhodes, Wasim Akram, Keiron Pollard, Shoaib Akhtar, Rishi Dhawan and Paras Dogra. Selected players will be provided with free airfare, accommodation, and local hospitality in Mumbai for 20 days. The winning team will get a prize money of Rs. 21 lacs while the runner-up will get Rs 11 lacs. The ‘Man of the Series’ of this under-18 category tournament will get.......

Brig. Gulam Ahmed Siddique has become a member of IJPL’s distinguished Advisory Board. He is one of the most sought after Sports Administrators in the country. He had a distinguished career, over thirty years in the Indian Army. He has been the Chairman, Army Sports Control Board and Secretary, Services Sports Control Board. Brig. Gulam Ahmed Siddique was the Manager of Indian Cricket Team for Triangular Series in Sri Lanka and Singapore, and also a Manager of Indian Hockey team. He will assist us in evaluating strategic plans and guide us on technological trends in cricket....

Mr. Fernandes is a well-respected senior Indian National Congress leader and was the Union Cabinet Minister for Transport, Road and Highways and Labour and Employment, Government of India, in UPA government. Presently Mr. Oscar Fernandes is a Director in ‘Young Indian’ and a Director of the Associated Journals Private Limited. We welcome him on our advisory board.   Ms. Goldie Malhotra has joined as a member of Advisory Board of IJPL 2016. She is an eminent educationalist. Presently, she is the Director, Academic Staff College and Administration at Manav Rachna International Schools and Executive Director, Faculty of Education, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad. Ms. Malhotra has been the Principal of DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar, Delhi, from January 1989 to April 2000. She has done a lot of community work, aimed at improving the plight of weaker sections of the society. She has been prominently involved in the theatre, television and creative work in aesthetics. Ms. Goldie Malhotra will offer her efficient consultation and expert advice in support of the IJPL’s mission....

Dr. Jain is a renowned General and Advance Laparoscopic Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. He is one of the pioneers of laparoscopic surgery in our country and received numerous awards and honors including Dr. Ambedkar Sewashree National Award, Surgery Ratna Award and Shrawak Ratna Award for his consistent performance par excellence. Dr. Jain brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to the IJPL. IJPL T20 members, who have been visiting local cricket academies and schools across the country are witnessing a great enthusiasm among budding cricketers for this biggest cricket talent hunt! The team recently visited Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Surana Cricket Academy, Sanskar Cricket Academy and Bhawani Niketan Ground in Jaipur and were quite impressed by the immense talent, zeal and determination among the current crop of youngsters. The IJPL T20 team also visited Thakur cricket academy, Shivaji Cricket Academy and Daniel’s Cricket Academy in Hyderabad; Lucknow Cricket Academy, Lucknow; Ryan International School and Shri Harkishan Public School, Amritsar and local cricket academies in Jabalpur City. Members interacted with coaches, budding cricketers at the academies, and star cricketers of the schools. A member of the IJPL T20 team said, “These young players are extremely talented and clear about their goals, they have it in them to become the next set of cricket stalwart.” India to Soon Witness Some Great Cricketing Action! The Jersey has the iconic blue color that truly captures the spirit of the cricket in India, and cricket fans. The vibrant design and contemporary motif clearly express the excitement the players will feel when representing their respective cities in the tournament.
